GstarCAD 2026
GstarCAD 2026 marks a new era of design performance with a lightning-fast user interface, improvements to parametric tools, and intelligent automations. New features such as DWG Compare with snapshot, Drawing Merge via Xref, and improved PDF import offer precision and flexibility. The user interface has been completely revamped with modern icons and WPF support, enhancing ergonomics. A special edition for Mac with native performance for Apple Silicon completes the experience.
Parametric constraints (Phase 2)
While geometric constraints were first introduced last year, GstarCAD 2026 extends this powerful feature with dimension constraints and parameter management.
These improvements enable precise control over the sizes and proportions of objects and provide tools for creating, editing, and organizing dimensional constraint parameters, reference parameters, and user variables for greater design flexibility.
DWG Comparison
This feature compares a specified design with the current design, using revision clouds to highlight the differences.
It allows users to configure comparison settings, import objects from the compared drawing, and export and commit the results to new snapshot drawings for future reference.
3D modeling workspace
Introduces a special “3D Modeling” interface alongside the GstarCAD Classic and 2D Drafting work environments. It displays only the toolbars, menus, and palettes related to 3D, hiding unnecessary UI elements to maximize the modeling screen space.
Format: “TIFF Version 6 (CCITT G4 2D compression)” Plotter support
This plotter supports only black and white output and significantly reduces the size of design files while maintaining the accuracy of lines, text, and dimensions.
Tool palette: XTP File Import
Tool palettes can now be customized by importing XTP files, allowing the integration of text, separators, and block references from ACAD configuration sets. This streamlines workflows and ensures consistency across projects.
Barcode: Code 39: Support
Adds support for Code 39 barcodes for low-cost alphanumeric marking with broad industry compatibility.
GstarCAD × ARCHLine.XP Plugin
Integrated with ARCHLine.XP, this add-on allows direct transfer of drawings in DWG or IFC format between GstarCAD and ARCHLine.XP, eliminating tedious import/export steps and providing a seamless CAD-to-BIM workflow.
Center signal and center line
Adds special tools for placing center points and center lines on circles and symmetrical geometry. These related objects are automatically updated with the geometry, improving design accuracy and simplifying annotations in mechanical or architectural layouts. (Available in SP1)
