GstarCAD 2026 - Enhancements
Interface reconstruction
The GstarCAD interface has been rebuilt using the WPF framework and our own technologies to deliver both visual brilliance and technical power: The new architecture ensures faster performance and seamless .NET compatibility. Usability improvements include customizable ribbon tabs, improved Recent Documents, and a space-saving built-in text editor.
Performance
GstarCAD 2026 offers a significant leap in performance over the 2025 version, ensuring a faster, smoother, and more flexible design experience across all areas.
Drawing opening speed has been improved by 40% on average, while common functions such as REGEN, MOVE, MIRROR, and UNDO have been improved by 20%, along with a list of other key improvements such as EXTEND (11× faster) and pick-point HATCH (30× faster).
DIMCORD
The DIMCORD command now has leader lines instead of multilines, so moving a block of text automatically moves its leader with it, making label placement more intuitive. The updated “Parameters” dialog also allows you to adjust the scale and height of the text and includes new Group and Auto Switch options for greater flexibility and ease of use.
Batch Plot
Frame recordings can now be previewed sequentially.
Clicking on any recording starts the preview, while pressing the space bar advances to the next frame with the active frame highlighted.
Batch Purge
The Batch Purge tool now supports purging registered applications, zero-length geometries, empty text objects, and orphaned design data.
PDF import
The PDF import engine has been upgraded to the modern, actively maintained PDFium library—boosting import speed, enhancing raster image rendering (transparency, clarity, color accuracy), improving text recognition and decoding (same-line text is recognized as MText, with each character assigned a width factor based on the first character), and delivering crisper hatch displays.
Data export
GstarCAD 2026 now supports saving export settings to .GXE files and reusing them as templates.
You can also edit .GXE files to add or remove drawings, objects, or properties.
All tables linked to the same .GXE file will display the changes when those tables are updated.
Merger plan
The Merge Plans feature allows you to analyze, split, and merge plans into bundles via Xrefs, offering customizable layout settings.
Additional features include entity property display and export of the drawing list to a .lst file for improved project organization.
Mechanical projection
The ENGINEERINGVIEWMODE variable allows the bottom view to be changed from the default ACAD view to a true engineering view, improving visual accuracy in technical drawings.
